In collaboration with Apple, the project, set to debut on Friday, November 15, will be available exclusively via Apple’s Vision Pro augmented reality headset and in select Apple stores.

Apple describes it’s Immersive Video Experience as “a remarkable storytelling format that leverages 3D video recorded in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio to transport viewers to the center of the action.”

Teasing what's to come, the “Open Hearts” announcement arrived with a 39-second trailer that begins with an ambulance speeding down a tunneled street followed by various scenes of The Weeknd looking worried, a mirrored sunset cityscape, a never-ending rural road, galloping horses, the XO founder opening double doors to a bright light, and an ominous hooded figures about to reveal his face.

“Journey alongside The Weeknd through a surreal, haunting cityscape in this electrifying sonic voyage,” the teaser’s description hints.

Thus far, The Weeknd has revealed the title of his next album, debuted the album’s cover, and released three of the album’s singles — “Dancing in the Flames,” “Timeless” with Playboi Carti, and “São Paulo” featuring Anitta.

The multi-faceted artist is also working on a film, with the same title as his upcoming LP, set to hit theaters in 2025 -- a psychological thriller the singer is set to star in alongside Barry Keoghan and Jenna Ortega, with Daniel Lopatin helming the project’s score.

As to whether "Open Hearts" will be accompanied by new music or material that fans have yet to year, that remains to be known. Whether it is or not, it seems the only thing we’re still waiting eagerly waiting on is the album’s arrival date, and of course for the album itself to drop.
