Real ones know, this is not Rihanna's first rodeo Carnival. The undisputed queen of Barbados’ biggest festival, has attended the annual Kadooment Day parade since the early aughts, using her appearances to showcase various designers' daring creations.
This year, RiRi teamed up with Lauren Austin Designs, a designer she’s worked with in the past for 2017’s stunning crystal bralette and matching epaulets, that just like this year’s costume, left little to the imagination.
In 2019, the last time RiRi attended Crop Over, she switched things up, going with a body obscuring pink mini dress by Dutch designer David LaPort, embellished with pink marabou feathers.
This year, swapping out her recently frequent over-sized sporty looks, Rihanna strutted through the parade in a brown and gold bedazzled costume, featuring bejeweled strips snaking up from her ankles to her shoulders, making sure to cover up the essential bits. RiRi accented the traditional carnival ensemble with a matching headpiece and gorgeous orange, pink and neutral colored feathered wings.
Making it officially official, the queen of Crop Over is back. Check out pics of this years incredible ensemble below, and previous showstopper costumes above.
